Bowie at Glastonbury (2000)

Last night BBC finally showed Bowie's legendary 2000 performance headlining Glastonbury Festival, for the first time in its entirety.

With the Glastonbury fences not in place yet, and with unticketed fans getting in over the weekend, its rumoured Bowie played to over 200,000 at the Pyramid Stage that night.

If you're in the UK or have access to the BBC I-Player it should be available on there for the next 30 days ... get it while you can!

I bought the box set months ago that contains the whole performance on dvd & on audio cd. If interested its on Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/Gl...B07HX8RCZ8

Love this set.

It was broadcasted on the BBC two days ago.

Great concert.

There's no one like Bowie,

and before anyone starts,

uncomparable to Prince. wink

So don't compare them.

Bowie is one of those artists that creatively expanded all the time. He was a genuis, IMO.

Didn't even know this was out! Thanks for sharing, might have to treat myself.

It was an amazing set ...and he was some humble and natural on the mic between songs to. Was really sad at the end of the set realising I'll never get a chance to see the great man live.

I saw him twice. 1st time was at The Warfield, SF amazing gig, only 2250 seats. This was back in 97' for The Earthling Tour. It was a dream set list & the thing I always remember was thinking I hope he plays Always Crashing In The Same Car which I don't think he's ever played live & sure enough the 2nd song... one of those stars aligning moments.

2nd time was on The Reality tour which although great was never going to top the small theater gig. He like Prince had that unmistakable charisma whether he played a note or not. His presence left an indelible impression.
