Few things in this world anger me more than hearing the intro to Like a Prayer, only to have it reveal itself as that aweful house music version. Its a let down every single time. The original is a thing of beauty. This is what you want...This is what you get. |

Basic tracking took place on 13 March 1988, at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota. The project was initially titled Daisy Miller to disguise the artists working on the track (there was a lot of media speculation about Prince and Madonna working together and possibly being linked romantically). Madonna and her musicians worked on the track later in 1988, and Prince added additional overdubs in mid-November 1988 at Paisley Park.

I know, even the dancers have NO recollection of the performance at the AIDS benefit the following night, hte only way to differentiate between this and the mtv performance is the lighting: MTV: very bright, AIDS benfit: very dark. 3121... Don't U Wanna Come? |

I always liked 'Love Song' because it's so different. They clearly didn't want to create the biggest hit single of the 80s, they wanted to created something more leftfield. I love M's voice on it, and the 'time goes by...' section is gorgeous! 3121... Don't U Wanna Come? |
