Bonnie Pointer of the Pointer Sisters Dies at 69

Bonnie Pointer, who rose to fame as a member of the Pointer Sister, has died at age 69.

“It is with great sadness that I have to announce to the fans of the Pointer Sisters that my sister Bonnie died this morning,” said Anita Pointer of her sister, Patricia, aka Bonnie. “Our family is devastated. On behalf of my siblings and I and the entire Pointer family, we ask for your prayers at this time.”

Loved the Pointer Sisters in the 70s and 80s. So sad to hear she passed so young. R.I.P. rose dove

First of all, Rest In Peace to Bonnie. sad :rose:

Second of all, I hope the family feud between Bonnie & Ruth ended while both sisters were still alive. It was sad enough that there were unresolved issues when Anita & June were around.

Yeah, that is sad, especially if someone passes and rifts aren't resolved. All that does is leave behind feelings of guilt and regret, and that's a horrible thing for people to live with.

The late June Pointer was always my favorite Pointer sister.I thought her gap was sexy, she seemed more daring, naughty and to have more fun. Although she was hiding troubling secrets.

Anita Pointer and Bonnie Pointer are seen singing in Vegas together in a November 2019 YouTube.

Seems that the only problem with June Pointer was she could not perform with the Pointer Sisters due to her mental health, and then succumbed to cancer later.

It is true that Bonnie Pointer was estranged from her family during her married years (1978-2014).

Read it all in Ruth Pointer's book, Still So Excited!

There weren't. Even Bonnie was separated from her controlling husband as of 1994, and would sing with June casually before June died in 2006.

I still remember being a little kid and loving the beast in me video. I loved the dresses she wore in it and the guitar hook
