i know its futile, but somehow just thinking about it, what it might've been like, and listening to several of these songs myself has been a small source of joy during a dark time

Very nice article thanks. I do know about Patreon, many Youtubers I follow they use it because they are facing issues with Youtube incomes.

I also hear many artists they are doing concerts or events in Streaming, at the beginning I think some of the for free in Streaming platforms, but I think nowadays probably paying.

Also, I heard that for theaters, they are planning to allow half of the capacity and respecting the security distances, but here I read many discrepances, some artists sais that is not worthly doing it that way, others they just want to feel the people, no matter if they are less... in conclusion, I hope this situation finish soon so we can enjoy a great concert like before

Indeed, I had exactly the same need. Many times happens to me that, just by putting a song, or a video with several songs I like in a row, made my sould calm a lot... however, I cannot wait to go to a concert, plenty of people, seeing the artist singing, improvising... that is magical

I really miss live concerts, too. The nearest thing right now are the actual live stream events--going on live while you watch them. It's great sharing those events with people in live chat. As close as we can get right now...

I have seen many of them it started right away, alot of them went to STAGEIT and then there was another site for it, then many just do facebook streams some do youtube and instagram ones. It is a good idea to keep something out there especially for indie artists that really only make money on shows, whether its clubs with 50 people its still their income, because streaming is nice but the revenue is pocket change at best. HOWEVER while all this is good for now it is not a replacement, though i fear many on the outside think it will be, and start streaming gigs and not do actual shows. Wont work long term at all, mainly because the artists especially those in small venues and gigs feeds off the crowd, one local artist here in NYC when he did his first live stream after the first song he said "damn this strange with no applause" basically you are looking at your screen to see what people type in, nice for now, bad long term.

Exactly, it is perfect for temporarly solution, but for long term it is too cold and lonely watch a concert through an screen... I don't know for me the beauty of sharing the feeling with many unknown people, the chance of talking to someone with similar interest and enjoying everybody like one... that won't be possible to reproduce by any technology, and is one of the parts I miss the most
