Nice. She performed versions of both on her Tiny Desk (Home) Concert, which was good.
I've been listening to a few live clips online by her recently and realised I'd been sleeping on her a bit as an artist. I think perhaps the reason is that, for me, her voice and her musicality come across better in a live setting - her cover of I Say A Little Prayer is phenomenal - whereas sometimes her recorded work is a bit let down by slightly dull, MOR production. I like the more organic production style on Paper Thin especially, and Bittersweet, though, so I'm looking forward to her new release. Lianne is an awesome artist, and I agree that she is especially wonderful when performing live. Her albums (up to now) don't really showcase her raw talent so much unfortunately. I think her original Tiny Desk performance from a few years back is one of the very best Tiny Desk concerts I have seen (and I have seen a LOT of them).
The new songs are sounding more stripped down and I am hoping the new album will be showcasing her talents in a more organic ways. She is such a good singer and guitar player and such a beatiful person, I would like her to have more success with her music, she really is something special. Her voice is mindblowing...
RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time... |

I agree with you both here. I've especially greatly enjoyed her performances on YouTube at the Glastonbury music festival--sonic gold to me + beautiful to watch! > Lianne, I hope U R reading this now! funkaholic1972 said:

Thank you! I seemed to have missed that one. I enjoy Tiny Desk like it's an Unplugged series.
