This was first recorded by Jermaine Jackson & Whitney Houston, but it was never released. I love the Prince and Rosie Gaines "Nothing Compares" duet too, as well as the Linda Ronstadt and Aaron Neville "Don't Know Much" one. I don't think I know the Ray Charles ones. ....However, I did love the Lionel Richie-Diana Ross "Endless Love" duet, but not so much after they appeared on one of the award shows and sang it a long time ago. I remember poor Lionel singing his heart out to Diana, but she just ignored him and sung directly to the camera instead

I thought this was about separate acts who made songs together, not groups like Ashford & Simpson. If those can count, then why not songs like More Than Words by Extreme or songs by The Beatles, Earth Wind & Fire, O'Jays, The Temptations, etc. where they have songs with 2 or more singers doing leads. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B.
