Killing Joke...

Fuk, these songs have been on my mind a lot lately.

Jaz(singer) and Killing Joke have always been spot on. You guys should really check out some of Jaz Coleman's(and KJ) writings, videos, lyrics etc. Them guys are some of the most insightful dudes around.

Inside The Termite Mound. https://www.youtube.com/w...s4-OtaruLM

"By day we're dormant Because it's too hot outside now Nocturnal notions (as we leave or cocoons) Antennae tuned to inhuman vibrations Shaping the cities of the world to come..."

I Am The Virus.https://www.youtube.com/w...4wdbibV3IM

The Great Cull. https://www.youtube.com/w...-2dzHWHFrE

"Eugenics are alive and kicking. Legislate, sick populations, a higher rate of mortality. Develop virus, market cure, exploit the panic, contaminate by guile and stealth. "Thin the herd, thin the herd. The great cull is coming down..."

Makes me feel like listening to them again. "Love like blood" is an all time classic.

Oh yeah, i love me some Love Like Blood. Killing Joke are a trip, in that they can do songs like Love Like Blood, and then do songs that are total chaos and aggression. And actually, even their softer songs have this element of tension(for a lack of a better word).

Anyways, just think. KJ have been around since around 1978, and are still making quality music. Their recent albums have been much more aggressive than their earlier albums though. I'd like to hear them do more songs like Love Like Blood and their softer stuff.

Exile

https://www.youtube.com/w...cjjC_o1BiA

Outside the boundaries where all the streets are empty In such a lonely moment we reach the same conclusion Chants of cathedral choirs, stations of iron cogs grind Primeaval screams we heard

Release cannot be found, no You'll never see that water flow You'll never see the water flowing

We that have tasted such beauties of corruption Triumphal arches raised designed to fall again My kingdom and place of exile You'll never see the water flowing

Your shouts of righteousness jaded our contributions Too scared for anger, the cause without a rebel No revolutions in four four time You'll never see that water flowing

I walk down amongst the ruins and past glories shattered me Elysian decays, answers that we are finding Waters of perfection fade You'll never see the water flow You'll never see the water flow You'll never see the water flowing

Lanterns. Man, the album this song is from is pretty damn good. But the production is not...

Equinox sun, summers of fun
No mortgage repayments to weigh my mind
And if it all fell through tomorrow
Put my pack on my back
And it's home where the lunatics roam
Faith, faith moved a mountain
Where the rivers are so clean
And the consciousness so green
And the luminous folk shine like
Lanterns of hope

Lanterns of hope shine on
Lanterns of hope

Ribbons of wishes, tied to the trees
Hives full of honey, yield to the seed

And if it all fell through tomorrow
Put my pack on my back
And it's home where the lunatics roam
Faith, faith moved a mountain
Where the rivers are so clean
And the consciousness so green
And the luminous folk shine like
Lanterns of hope

Lanterns of hope shine on
Lanterns of hope

Fire, fire light the lantern
When we drink from the streams
And we grow our own greens
And the fences have all been torn down
