No! Vaughan Mason ALSO produced "Jack the Groove" by Raze a SEMINAL house track from 1986. The man had RANGE! Very important yet underregarded cat. Damn - was it the Covid-19?

Not sure how he died.

Here on the West Coast, his 1983 song “Feel My Love” has become an old school classic. My DJ friend frequently plays this jam during his set.

From Thomas Dolby's Facebook post. Bassist Matthew Seligman is in grave condition and most likely will not survive. Really sad news. i enjoyed his Bass playing.

Thomas Dolby

"Very sad news from Kevin Armstrong just now:"

"Friday: Matthew Seligman has suffered a catastrophic haemorrhagic stroke from which he won't recover. It is expected that he will not survive longer than 12/24 hours. His ventilator will be gradually withdrawn until the inevitable end. I am so sad to have to bear this terrible news. I have loved him as a friend and a fellow musician for 40 years."

"Matthew has been on a ventilator in an induced coma for two weeks, after being admitted to St George’s London with Covid-19. He has a partner and two kids living in Wimbledon. Kevin has been liaising with them. He has no other close relatives, as his parents are gone and his brother passed away a month ago."

"I don't have words."

"I will update this group when I know any more. [TMDR]"

90's R&B Singer Sweet Sable Dies of Complications from Covid-19

https://www.soultracks.com/story-sweet-sable-dies

We are sad to report that R&B artist Sweet Sable (born Ceybil Jefferies), who scored 90s hits with “So Special” and “Old Time’s Sake” and the album Love On My Mind has died, reportedly of COVID-19.

The Brooklyn singer boasted a deep, powerful voice that contrasted nicely with the dance-focused nature of her music. While she only recorded a few songs, they had tremendous staying power, and are often in heavy rotation on 90s-focused radio stations and playlists.

It continues to be so difficult to see so many people, young and old, succumbing to this dreaded virus. Rest in peace, Ceybil Jefferies.
