Tina Turner "I Can't Stanx The Rain'

One of the best non-singles ever. Discuss.

Incredible remake from Tina. She seemed to really shine on the remakes, "Rain", "Let's Stay Together", "Help", all of which she made her own. Amazing vocal performances. Vocally, she would never really give us that power on subsequent albums. I know part of the reason is because she was moving farther away from R&B after "Private Dancer" so belting out of songs was not required.

All true. Funny thing is that belting is why my whole family enjoyed the Private Dancer album, especially mom!

Yep! When I was a kid and heard Tina beltling and wailing on "Let's Stay Together" on the radio, yeah, that was a moment I will NEVER forget. It was similar to the feeling I got when I first heard Chaka in 1976. cloud9

It irritates me they cut the top of her head off on the cover of the 2 CD edition. I guess that did that to distinguish it from the other versions?

OMG me too! I get that's a square picture and the ratio is not 1:1 on the digipack but... yeah.
