I don't think so, people are fool. I do agree however on the beauty of this great song.

OG "New York" version of Blood on the Tracks would be best if that was the version released...

It has been released as part of the Bootleg Series # 14: More Blood More Tracks. If you take any of this seriously, you're a bigger fool than I am.

Youuu know what I mean. The album proper has the multi-band arrangements... the album proper is what average fan knows, it's called "Bootleg Series" for a reason brosef.

Full-band Dylan rarely does it for me, and if it does it's because of the songs and never the arrangements (Oh Mercy notwithstanding). I'dve been one of the fans shouting "Judas!" in Manchester after he went electric. [Edited 4/14/20 23:25pm]

Wayyyy too long. Could've/would've said the same shit in 2 and 1/2 minutes, tops. [Edited 4/14/20 23:20pm]

I still listen to Rapper's Delight kinda regularly and it never seems long to me. I've heard it so much I can rap the entire thing. There wasn't really a short version because it wasn't released on 45, only as a maxi single. The Sugarhill Gang album did have an edit that was around 7 minutes. I rarely listen to that one, only if I play the entire album. I used to buy remix maxi singles and would play the dubs & instrumental versions. Dance music was often long such as Autobahn by Kraftwerk. The 12" maxi singles first came out in the disco days. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I love Dylan, yet at first I thought an almost 17 minutes long song was a little too much, but I'm just listening carefully as I'm writing this, and you know what, is just gorgeous, the lyrics, the music, his voice and the pace, everything is just beautiful and so very movin. Thanks God, he's still alive and making music. Btw he realeased I Contain Multitudes, another great song, not as great as Most Foul though.
