Moonchild

Are there any Moonchild fans on here? I like them a lot!! Nothing can replace P but they are helping me cope with the loss of him. See the Tiny Desk Concert on YouTube.

Yes..im fan.but i keep missing out on their concerts for one reason or another when they came to town..lol

Bought all their albums thus far...
I think their third album" Voyager" is their best ...

So when "Little Ghost" came out this past September...my expectation and anticipation may have been a lil high...
But I very much enjoyed the second half of the album moreso than the first half..

Youtube is how i discovered them in 2013..
Amber has this Erykah Baduish..Norah Jones voice thing goin on lol..
They gave a nod to Erykah Badu's song"Window Seat" for their track titled"Throwback"..

Yeah P been gone for 4years now....☹
Not much for the new music that's come out.the past 10years.
So when I hear something I like...I flock and cling to it...
refreshing to hear something new...remind u of old school..

You can hear the influences in their neo-soul
I feel like im apart of something special when I listen to them...

I'm a big fan of this band. I agree with funkdoctorrock that Voyager is their best album, but I've enjyed their last 3 a lot.

"Whistling" from Little Ghost, "Run Away" from Voyager and "The Truth" from Please Rewind are my favorite tracks.

lead singer Amber Navran's EP was pretty good too.

Little Ghost is my favorite. I have to listen to it once a day. Heck, I have to listen to something from them several times a day or my day won't be good! lol lol lol

.

I dig Moonchild's music.. much of what I've heard (so far) has a nice, soulful, "space-y" vibe to it.

.

I've also seen - & like - their tiny desk show. even more impressive than the show itself is what the lead singer said between songs.. about helping local communities & on how to be a good ally

I'll see you tonight..
in ALL MY DREAMS..

Just discovered them a few months ago. I like their sound. Kinda a Neo-Soul type vibe to it. Love the girls multi-track harmonies. Haven't heard the whole album yet but my shower songs are "Wise Women, Money and "What You're Doing" I don't get out the shower until those songs are complete.

They apparently research local charities in every city they play in and ask their audiences to give during the show. They did it when I saw them.
