one of the most sexiest, youthful looking 63 year old women ive ever seen. and her rich, unique voice is STILL spine tingling...ive always thought she was criminally underrated...such a sweet humble soul, that ive been blessed to have had the pleasure to actually meet and share a brief conversation with.

KCool/ChocolateBox3121 must be hacking into other folks accounts now.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

LOL...other than Erick Sermon (who went to my high school with my brother), Patti Austin (who my mother grew up with), and Stephanie Mills (who me and my girlfriend at the time, sat next to at a New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden), ive never really interacted in person with any other "name brand" artists in the music industry, so ive never had the opportunity to name drop before...so i take a small semblance of pride in inadvertantly channeling the notorious KCOOL..😎🤣

I ADORE Stephanie Mills! My favorite song from her is "Ole Love" from the album "Tantalizingly Hot". Most of her output between 1979 and 1989 was pretty incredible!

Loved Stephanie Mills since I was in middle school hearing Sweet Sensation, Never Knew Love

Like This Before, and Put Your Body In It. I got an opportunity to see her 4 years ago in Charlotte

during a music festival. She put on a hell of a show and had everybody grooving. I don't think anybody was sitting down when she got into Put Your Body In It. She threw some serious shade at Miche'le lol Miche'le was rambling through her set and talking all kind of nonsense. When Stephanie came out she said I'm gonna sing to yall. I'm not gonna do much talking. lol

She's been living in Charlotte for several years and I had no idea until about 6 years ago.

Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

Just the other day,I was listening to one of my old school jam playlists and "Last Night" came on.It's a very underrated jam from the summer of '82 headbang as always,Stephanie SHINES on the track.

My absolute favorite song by her is 1979's "Put Your Body In It".....an incredibly funky disco track! I bet that this track was very popular in the discos back then.
