With numerous musicians cancelling tours due to the pandemic scare she could cancel now & nobody would be surprised.

It's one of if not the best of her vast catalog of albums.

Not sure, I'm just getting into her music, but so far UNBREAKABLE is great.

Unbreakable is The Velvet Rope's sister. They're just brilliant, probably her best and most introspective albums. All of her music tells her story at the time.

janet. is all about love, and you can feel it on that record.

RN1814 is purposely militaristic, hard edged, street, outspoken with a purpose.

All For You feels like a refresher, it comes after a darker album like TVR and a divorce, yet it still goes deep on songs like "Trust A Try," "You Ain't Right," and "Son of A Gun."

Unpopular opinion: 20 Y.O. suffers from a lot of Jermaine Dupri. The first five tracks go from good to horrible, then picks up again.

Discipline feels like she snuck out her bedroom window and is partying all night (read: non-Jam & Lewis record).

Damita Jo feels like "nothing to see here" since it's post-Super Bowl. It has some weak moments, but honed down it's a fun record. She looked so beautiful during this time. The wispy hair, the street style in clothing coupled with an adult sexuality.

Control is just classic for so many reasons.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Pretty telling that she still can't sell tickets despite having been hyped up and praised extensively for the past 5 years - a Billboard Legend Award, an American Music Achievement Award, and constant glowing coverage from Pitchfork and other music publications haven't moved her stock with the public at all. Only people I see checking for her these days in real life are gay dudes.

What is this jibberish? Wrong on so many levels.
Of course gay dudes like female diva entertainers/singers. That shit
goes without saying. There are plenty of male Janet fans who aren't gay. Count
me among them and I'm married. Not sure what's the damn obsession on this
message board with an artist like Janet record sales/ticket sales. As someone who has seen her show twice in the last 5 years selling tickets in Charlotte NC didn't seem to be a problem. The Unbreakable tour traffic was bumper to bumper with people coming from out of state. News flash. Older artists aren't moving mountains like they did in their prime. Should be common knowledge. This whole ticket thing and what audience she draws you speak of reeks of pure haterade.

It depends on the venues artists play, even when the scare lifts people are going to be weary to come and hang in a stadium or theatre with tons of people and forget those general admission shows which should never exist anymore anyway virus or no virus they all suck. But I already saw artists that have March April May gigs in small venues very small already push those dates to August, some that are playing big gigs I have seen them booking 2021 dates instead. The industry is gonna take a huge hit because even if summer tours happen expect half full venues, if even that. And let's be honest the only thing artists have now is laying live, many indie artists are already doing streaming shows through stage it and other sites, get used to it.

No. They don't. Seated shows shouldn't exist, where the size of your purse or time of you deciding you will go to a concert (event if the concert is still a year out), decides where you are going to watch it from. Also the mood is much better at general admission shows.

Without general admission shows. I would have NEVER been able to see Prince(r.i.p.) the hundreds of times I saw him. Besides all the arena shows.

But I have had some VERY bad experiences seeing Prince(r.i.p.) in general admission live. So bad it's the reason why I don't care much for his following & keep my distance till this day.

Sorry I have done general admissions shows countless times and it always results in that moron who comes late and is in the back that suddenly thinks because he paid the same price he can push his way no matter how much he knocks people over to the front, this is every general admission show from Duran Duran especially Prince ones I have been at they are the worst. There are plenty of seated shows that don't cost a lot that is something you have to take up with the artists who control their prices, ask Madonna and Elton and U2 to lower their prices they are in control. Venues here in nyc like the iridium and the city winery etc...saw van hunt and Andy allo for twenty bucks and SAT in front at a table and met both of them after the show, search shows not everyone charges Madonna money.

Well. I've been to hundreds of general admission shows and never had that problem. But usually I'm either front or second row. But still, don't be such a baby and don't let people spoil your fun. So what if someone wants to get to the front? Maybe he was at the front, went to the toilet and is on his way back or is getting something to drink? Maybe he got stuck in traffic and is trying to get as far as possible. Whatever. It's not a problem. Seated shows suck, cost way more, needs you to know a year in advance that you want to attend a show and sucks the fun and atmosphere right out of any show, resulting in people being in the front, who have no business being there (and wouldn't if it would involve some effort) because they don't really care and are only there because they have too much money to spend. Fuck seated shows.

sorry but seated shows are not always more depends on the artist you pick, van hunt charging $20 for a seated venue there are tons of shows like that, if you want go see Billy Joel Elton John etc...on their one millionth retirement tour or Madonna charging people a zillion dollars that is something different and speaks to the artists and quite frankly those venues. Also the idea of a general admission show is you get your spot and stay, everyone always has that excuse oh I had to take a shit oh I needed a drink BS I heard at a million different shows and a lot of Prince GA shows. I got to seated small shows all the time mainly cause I don't want to deal with that shit, and sorry they are cheaper in many cases like I mentioned Van Hunt 20 dollars I recently saw a band that was charging 40 just for GA, yeah they can keep it. Want cheaper shows they are out there don't compare the Madonnas of the world to indie artists, I wouldn't pay twenty cents for Madonna

Small places usually are not seated. Big places are. All the seated concerts I've been subjected too, have been expensive for tickets at the front. I don't care if there are artists I don't care about that might be cheaper. I don't care to see them, so I don't care what they charge. And seriously, if you can't stand people moving next to you, then just simply stay home and watch a DVD.

And the artists that play GA shows i will avoid because its always been a bad experience. Sorry but if I get to the venue seven hours early to be up front and I have to deal with someone that got there ten minutes before who feels they are entitled to be in front cause they got a ticket too, SORRY i am not there to play security and get into brawls. AND THIS always happens at GA shows, Prince when I would see him at GA club shows were cool the first twenty minutes till you realized that you slowly are being pushed out and suddenly now im behind someone i didnt even seen in the line. Thats my complaint and its always been that way, so if you dig those shows more power to you, and YES there are venues here in NYC that are seated club like and dont charge more because there are seats they might ask you to have a drink as part of the ticket but people do that at every show from GA to stadiums, so like I said i have no desire to do GA shows anymore did them tons of times and I agree on the bigger venues charging alot but its on who you want to see, Im not going to see Janet Jackson or Billy Joel or Elton etc...I have seen them before and that was enough its not like they roll out new stuff so Im not interested. Rock bands like U2 or Jovi or Foo Fighters good luck trying to stuff them in a club, Foo Fighters did that once here in NYC and the place had to be closed cause the venue oversold it, thats another thing with GA shows, Prince played the Club USA here in NYC also Club Black and both were closed down to violatiions of overselling the house beyond fire codes.
