Santana has just cancelled his European tour that was to begin soon.

Well. The way her ticket sales are going, I wouldn't be too surprised. And that shit now is not helping her to sell more tickets. I really wonder where that all will head and at this time, while I have most of my tickets, I'm kinda hesistant to book a flight. I think I will hold off on that for a bit and wait. But luckily I'm not only seeing Janet, so a trip may still makes sense, unless of course Corona fucks that all up as well, as I don't see how exactly the situation will change between now and then.

Black Crowes in September - cannot WAIT! Never seen them live before. I had tix for a show when they were touring with Page, in tandem with The Who, but Page broke his ankle or something and they had to cancel a bunch of shows.

I refuse to live my life in fear, running scared and panicking because of a virus that none of us have any control over, and that the media and politicians are using for political reasons to create fear, dread, and panic! I look at it as God, the creator of everyone and everything, has control over this world and everything going on in it, and if He wants you, he'll find you, and there's nothing you can do about it! In other words, you can run, but you can't hide, maybe from a virus, but never from God.

If ticket sales are slow, you can always move to smaller venues, that way you're still available for the people who do want to see you. That's why Prince's American tour of 1993 took place in theaters: he could no longer sell out the huge stadiums. But he still toured. [Edited 3/11/20 10:29am]

With the ban of all gatherings over 500 people going into effect in my city tomorrow, I expect my list of future gigs to be reduced to almost zero.

The Gigaton movie has now been canceled, too. All of the concerts I'm going to except one in July have now been postponed. Much worse than this, my son's college graduation will probably be canceled in May and I will be stuck with nonrefundable plane and hotel expenses... What a year this is turning out to be... I hope we all get through it unscathed and have many more musical adventures to look forward to...

Many airlines are allowing no-fee flight changes or future travel credits issued for the next couple weeks, even if the flight was booked as nonrefundable, so if things don't improve by May then you likely won't lose what you paid for your flights. As for hotel expenses, I've never heard of anyone prepaying. I travel a lot, and every hotel I've stayed has a cancellation policy of check-in day or the prior day. If you did prepay for hotel, yeah you might be SOL.
