She's still out there! Last year I happened upon Soul Sessions Vol.2 somehow missed the release, love her version of I Got The and High Road. Project Mama Earth was kinda weird but I like that she is doing experimental stuff and not chasing trends. I'd love to see her live she seems to prefer to jam with bands versus diva star headliner shows and still do the barefoot shtick.

Her last release was water for your soul. She has been touring worldwide and has not released anything in about five years. You can see alot of her concerts on YouTube. https://en.m.wikipedia.or..._Your_Soul

Who said that, Roman Polanski?
“It means finding the very human narrative of a man navigating between idealism and pragmatism, faith and politics, non- violence, the pitfalls of acclaim as the perils of rejection” - Lesley Hazleton on the first Muslim, the prophet.

She was dating Raphael Saadiq one time. Don't know if that's still the case.

Her record sales dipped. Because of that, major labels lost interest in her so she set up her own independent label called Stoned or Ston'd or something like that. Anyway, regardless of the name, due to her essentially being an independent artist now, it means that her reach is reduced. There's no money for expensive music videos or big promotion. On the plus side, she has a much higher profit margin than when she was on EMI. So just because you haven't seen her lately, don't worry. She's doing quite well for herself and doing the music she likes rather than what she's been told will sell.

Typical industry stuff especially around her time where she was "in the light" it was also the end of the era where people bought music now they rent it, so tons of artists like her you THINK are not doing anything but they are actually doing more than the NAMES we all know. I mean is Kanye playing shows? Beyonce? etc.... Van Hunt, Norah Jones, Joss, Mya and tons of others are playing ten times more than they do. Its a new day, if you cant play, you might as well get a job at the bank as chaka would say.

Exactly. Joss is working on new stuff too so hopefully that will be finished this year. Late summer would be my guess 😉
