Perhaps, but she has already been big on the internet for a couple of years. While her target audiance is teenagers, I imagine she has a broader base than just that given how the critics like her, some people on this site like her including me, and it is the first pop artist in years that my 75 year old sister really likes. So, her path as well s her early career is quite atypical already.

I was suprised because after 2 listens to the album in peace..and liking 3 songs on it..I'm not understanding what the hoopla over her is. She is whispering notes in most of the songs and the productions are thin and airy. "What u say girl?" I asked myself over and over again several times listening to each track...
