Something I Never Thought I'd Hear... (From The White Stripes) The White Stripes doin' Dolly Parton's "Jolene". They sang it live on Late Night with Conan O'Brien... it was rough, edgy and scornful.
I loved it. (Striped Edit) [This message was edited Thu Apr 24 3:26:47 PDT 2003 by June7] |

sounds like something great, hope we can all hear it in the future. WHAT IF THERE IS NO TOMORROW? THERE WASN'T ONE TODAY! | |

Ex-Moderator | I wished I'd seen it too! A friend told me about it this weekend.
I just picked up their new album about a week or so ago and can't stop listening to it. I can't believe I'm so late on this bandwagon. I'll be picking up their older albums soon. |

Yes, their four night stand on Conan was the proverbial "shiznit".Wow.Not too many bands today impressed me but they did.My favorite night was when Jack ran to Conan's desk and threw his guitar on it and did a wicked solo than threw it on the ground.Classic.Strange part was they had a huge bodyguard on stage one night.here's a link to their website where you can find a link to one of their performances:
