I think it's about 4 years old now. They also did a cover of the Paul McCartney song Wonderful Christmastime.

I LOVE Diana Ross' rendition of Wonderful Christmastime, and the album she re-released with that title.

Haven't been listening to specifically holiday music. I did go the Love Actually soundtrack which for the most part isn't Christmas music but it puts me in a Christmassy mood. I did listen to Lea Michele, I just call her Disney Princess.

Amy Grant "Grown Up Christmas List" - not realizing until this year it was first released on a David Foster album, WRITTEN BY LINDA THOMPSON JENNER (yes, her "I Have Nothing" - she wrote some real schitt!)

Just watched the Hollywood Holiday parade. Linda Thompson introduced her son Brandon Jenner who then sang "Grown Up Christmas List"! Man, it is a bonafied classic.

What about non-holiday music you listen to during the season. For me, I play Digable Planets' Blowout Comb several times during the season, because it dropped right before the holidays, and was in heavy rotation that Christmas season after it came out.

Dr. John, ' Peace, Brother, Peace' - https://www.youtube.com/w...Fxny5rjWVY

.

Hmm... he's an atheist... so also satirical, as in questioning the benefit of love in the midst of all the suffering... I was going through my digital library, looking for holiday-ish things. After posting, thought about taking this out.

Randy Newman, 'He Gives Us All His Love' - https://www.youtube.com/w...OYlukEcc64

.

Kind of dark and dated... but, in Newman's satirical style, revealing ugliness of apartheid ... almost offensive... was going to delete this:

Randy Newman, 'Christmas in Capetown' - https://www.youtube.com/w...VyhQ4qnWeY

.

Edgar Winter, 'Save the Planet' - https://www.youtube.com/w...5fzUhD-B5M

.

And, cuz I posted Edgar, here's his brother with Dr. John, 1984 (because it showed up in the recs beneath the preceding video and I wanted to hear it and liked it).

https://www.youtube.com/w...iZhwtJqyX4

.

It's about to be the winter solstice, not the equinox, but...

John Coltrane, 'Equinox' - https://www.youtube.com/w...Zyr0IDaRXQ

.

Third World, 'Jah Glory' - https://www.youtube.com/w...JShjTo0aYg

It was dropped at the end of 1992.

Because nothing says peace on earth, good will towards men like the closing track eek .
