Exactly three years after George Michael‘s death on Christmas Day 2016, his sister Melanie Panayiotou was found dead in her London home.

“Police were called by London Ambulance Service at approximately 19:35hrs on Wednesday, 25 December to reports of the sudden death of a woman, aged in her 50s,” the Metropolitan Police told PEOPLE in a statement.

According to the Evening Standard, Melanie, 55, was found at her home by older sister Yioda Panayiotou.

Although a cause of death has yet to be announced police said that “the death is not being treated as suspicious by police,” and noted that a “report will be compiled for the Coroner into the circumstances.”

True, and unless it was intentional, it's very eerie to have them pass on the same day and time of year.

Their mum Lesley died Christmas EVE 1997.

How odd.

They are saying that George is buried next to his mom in an unmarked grave, and Melanie will be buried on the other side of their mom.

His grave is unmarked because they don't want people doing anything to it.

Apparently their father Kyriacos Panayiotou who was born in 1935 and George inherited his middle name from is still alive? He was very disappointed when George dropped out of high school to form Wham! He had his teen son slaving away at his Greek restaurant and never complimented his singing.

I think he came around though.

I just finished reading Andrew Ridgeley's book, Wham! George Michael & Me.

It was interesting. Andrew said that George's dad gave him an ultimatum get a job, further his education in 6 months or get out. Luckily enough they created Wham!!

I got this book for Christmas! But I haven't got to it yet.

I did too! It's a decent read. You'll like it.
