I saw this a couple of weeks ago. A good and informative documentary on a rarely explored and sadly topic... "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

I've had a crush on Robbie Robertson since I was a kid. Met him once long ago, got my picture taken with him and a few of my friends who were also in love with him. Was lucky enough to see Link Wray at the Ponderosa Stomp not too long before he passed. He was still fucking amazing.
Surprised to see they covered the Mardi Gras Indian culture here. Big Chief Monk Boudreaux is another favorite, and one of the nicest people I've ever had the pleasure to meet. Never realized how much Jimi Hendrix embraced his native roots either. That photo of his grandmother was powerful.
