Yes, I know I have already posted here a couple of times, but I ususally hear 5 to 7 albums each week, so I enjoy reviewing the week. For this week,

Brittany Howard - Jaime

Sugarland - Bigger

Lankum - The Livelong Day (interesting!)

Corrine Bailey Rae - The Heart Speaks in Whispers

Taylor Swift - Red (I know, probably warrants being kicked off the site lol )

It's the same for me. I usually listen to an album during my commute to work and another during my commute home.

Lux Prima may be my album of the year. I certainly like it more than any Yeah Yeah Yeah's album. And the live performance of Lux Prima last week was absolutely magical.

I can't express how much I love that album. It's my favorite of the decade and got me into so many other retro-60s music at the time (like this playlist I made awhile back: https://prince.org/msg/8/399735). I was fortunate to see the Pipettes live five times during that period before they went 80s and subsequently disbanded. Rose has released a string of very fine solo albums since then, but We Are the Pipettes can't be topped. cloud9

Everyday Life and mostly Daddy are good. The rest I dont care for (yet). The last album and the one before were horse shit though. Still sometimes they release a pearl, like Hypnotised.

It was a moment alright, I still have my copy somewhere. Gwenno's welsh language stuff is interesting,

I saw Gwenno live once too when she was touring the states behind Y Dydd Olaf. I haven't heard her latest album yet.
