RIP Ginger Baker of Cream Such a great drummer.
The jazz-rock drummer's death follows a 2016 fall in his home and subsequent open heart surgery after being diagnosed with a heart condition. Baker leaves behind a legacy as the drummer for Cream, his 1960s power trio with guitarist Eric Clapton and bassist Jack Bruce that tossed up the blues with sunshine-pop, hitting the Billboard Hot 100 hard with “Sunshine of Your Love” (No. 5) and “White Room” (No. 6) in 1968.

- That crazy motherfucker was mad al hell and unpredictable but what a fantastic drummer! The (last?) interview he gave to a young guy who went to see him in South Africa to make a documentary, is a must see. Specially when at the end of the interview, the guy is being hit by Ginger Baker with his walking stick, because he asked Ginger if he could visit the other people he was shitting and talking about during the interveiw. Something he did not wanted at all. He could swear like nobody else. Rest In Peace you dangerous and restless soul. -
