Damn, now this comes as a shock. I know he was recently diagnosed with cancer, but still...Damn. sad

I liked Eddie's music. I remember that Shakin video. It had two things that i was in love with at the time. Lowrider cars and pretty Mexican women(Patricia 'Apollonia' Kotero).

Man, cancer is fucked up. Especially esophageal cancer(had a friend recently die of it-he was 50). And of course, as with any cancer, especially when it spreads.

Anyways, Eddie had some great pop songs. He will be missed.

RIP rose

Rest in Peace Bettie Boo. See u soon.

I only learned today that the girl in the "Shakin'" video (which I saw plenty of times back then) was Appolonia.

For me, his best songs were "Think I'm in Love" and "Take Me Home Tonight."

Apparently he didn't die bcause of cancer. He recently had a heart valve replacement surgery, before they discovered he had cancer and they say he did because of complications with that. But tragic either way.
