I'm not so sure.

When I look at the package GM's camp put together for the deluxe reissue of LWP Vol I as opposed to what they did with Purple Rain I see a camp that has somewhat of a vision.

From what I understand, George spearheaded the Listen Without Prejudice reissue when he was alive, along with the documentary that was released to accompany it. I think more than anything though it'd be nice to see some live shows get released. The Faith Tour, the last Wham! concert at Wembley and his 1991 tour would all be excellent releases.

It's pretty well know that is true, you're right. The doc has his voice on it, so yes, he was fully involved. I may be wrong, but didn't the doc talk about his death and how he was still working on it or excited to see it all come out? I'd be quite interested to have seen a similar set for Older. So much happened in his life between those two records.

He had such a weird quirk about releasing live shows in full. Even Symphonica was chopped and edited on audio and video releases. He noted that the Live In London DVD (which I still can't get enough of) would be the only show he releases in its entirety. I'm pretty surprised that The Faith Tour was never put out back then, since it was sort of a new genre of putting concerts out on VHS once people realized there was a larger market for it.

I may have to watch Live in London again, now that I've brought it up. That opening of "Fastlove" is just everything. Plus "Fantasy", "A Different Corner", "Jesus To A Child", God, so much good stuff. I do wish he'd 'done "Star People '97" or "The Edge of Heaven" (especially the former).

The real gem that we'll probably never get is those sessions where Wendy Melvoin showed up to help out one time (when George and Anselmo were still dating), and the finished songs. (I forget the name of the thing off hand.)

Even if there's not video, expanded albums or maybe something like Originals (just outtakes that didn't make it anywhere) would be great, just to have new GM music in the world again.

I've loved him since the first time I saw him.

T Mobile is using GM's Freedom on their commercial. I think his Estate is doing a great job of getting things out to the fans.

You'd be surprised how often stuff like that happens. I mean, if a movie is bad, the people who are working on it or even the people in it will know that it's not turning out well. Sometimes you have to be honest with yourself and recognise that it's just not good. Luckily for them, the director is probably used to people slating his movies by now, lol.

George was such a phenominal singer and songwriter. I listen to his work regularly and love everything he's ever done. I miss him!
