Sad News

Diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer, has moved to the top of his stomach and is in his liver and lymph nodes.

"I thought I was going in for a check up & the Dr. told me I have cancer."

What the hell. I literally just found out about him last month and bought Shakin' on 45. Love that song and video. Damn that is sad.

btw,that's Apollonia in the video with him....a couple of years before she joined the Prince camp.

This is really sad news

I and my friends at Apknite saw him play in May and he was fantastic! Really connected with the crowd talking in between songs and really just sounded brilliant! We had an incredibly special night, one we will never forget, and it's in large part to the "money man" and his band. Thank you, Eddie! Bless your heart.

Two tickets to paradise has been a favoutire of mine for decades. It has a special place in my heart as the first time my husband and I went on a vacation together we listened to this song over and over before we left. I hope Eddie has some form of recovery and doesn't suffer.

Prayers for him. Just saw it on the internet Saturday.

Saw him perform a few years ago with some other bands at an outdoor venue; the temperature was 104 degrees (farenheit)... Eddie came out wearing three coats and slowly peeled them off singing "Bring Me Some Water!" What an opening! His voice was in good shape, he was funny and really engaged with the crowd, as in your case. I thought he had the best set there. My best wishes and prayers go out to him and his family.

So sad. He's given us so much great music. I wish him the best but when the big C gets to your liver, that's a tough one to beat. I'll pray for him.

My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach and esophageal cancer and we lost him within 2 weeks after diagnoses.

I'm listening to his 'greatest hits' CD right now.This guy had so many great songs.Any of you remember his 1979 hit "Maybe I'm A Fool"? Love this song!

My favorite Eddie Money song is the 1984 minor hit "Club Michelle".

I liked "I think I'm In Love' alot.

He seemed like a lovely person and a good dad to his 5 children.
