This video reminds me of the rapper Sampa The Great. I wonder why it's on B's channel instead of Disney's like Aladdin's songs You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Beyoncé’s ‘Homecoming’ Documentary Lands Six Emmy Nominations It’s going to be a busy awards season for Beyonce. She could be up for Grammys or Oscars in the next six months, but she’s already made a splash with the fresh crop of Emmy nominations. Her documentary/concert movie “Homecoming: A Film by Beyoncé” has been nominated for six Emmys, and a win in most of those categories would go to her personally. I knew she would make this Movie and Soundtrack about HER. elton john didnt do this with the original movie. she hasn't done any press like the rest of the actors in movie. there was on need for a stand alone project.Nick Ashford was someone I greatly admired, had the honor of knowing, and was the real-life inspiration for Cowboy Curtis' hair. RIP Nick. - Pee Wee Herman

Sounds more like what Madonna did for "I'm Breathless". "Batman" was different as P was making music to be in the film, whereas Breathless was tunes that were from and inspired by the movie. I am not a Bey stan but I don't mind this little power grab move of hers. if it was just a dream, call me a dreamer 2

The two Beyonce Videos are stunning & "The Gift" album (now on iTunes, but I am hoping for a physical release as I am old school and like to buy albums) sounds great. I do think she may have waited a few weeks though to let the soundtrack / movie get some of the limelight first, instead of grabbing the limelight for herself. I love Beyonce, but I do get sick of the constant money grabs of this couple (Bee & Jay) that is for sure, it would have been much more classy to release the album a little later and that would also help generate interest in the movie for longer too? Thank you Prince for every note you left behind 💜

LOL, Mrs. No Talent And Stealing is once more in the news today, that this whole video was litterally stolen from some lesser known black group from the South. It's in the family there, all that stealing.

It's in the family there, all that stealing. You can dislike Beyoncé all you want. However, to call her “no talent” is pathetic. Now, I can see if you were speaking of a singer who can’t keep a tune, can’t sing live, etc. BUT, that’s not Beyoncé. Btw, I am NOT a Beyhivet, I just don’t like people saying ignorant things just because you don’t like or are jealous of Beyoncé. This woman works her ass off, she gives you your money’s worth in video and live performances. At least, give her credit for what she has-talent and hard work. There is no way any rational person can claim that this lady doesn’t have talent and that she is an extremely hard worker. #@$& that you don’t like her.🤨

I read a list of all things she stole from other artists. It's LONG. So to me she's a no-talent.

Beyonce doesn't have an ounce of talent. She is failing miserably cause nobody is buying her "woke black girl" act anymore.

So is the lion king the gift considered a beyonce album or just a soundtrack heavily featuring her, the way Madonna and Whitney Houston did for their movies? I like her, but also think she’s really fake at times these days. I like her older albums better than her recent ones and she reached her prime onstage a long time ago

Prince was actually only asked to offer a song or two. One was Baby I'm A Star and then he did 200 Balloons or Party Man instead
Most of the Batman Prince album were 'outtakes'. They did not ask him for a Prince -Batman album

I'm curious as to why no-one is yelling 'hey Beyonce! That song of yours The Gift is basically a rip-off of You're The Voice by John Farnham.
Or did I miss that protest?
It's certainly not possible to call Beyonce talentless.... she clearly has talents.
However I do think she's an atrocious singer and am genuinely baffed as to her popularity.
She might have a powerful instrument but she has no clue how to really communicate with it, in my view. Warbling, yelling, are the things one does these days just to be heard above the crowd.

Beyonce is "talentless"??? LMAO! yeah, OK... i just wonder, what emotion it is, that causes people to lie like that...and im not even that big of a fan of hers, but she's clearly and abundantly talented...

Elvis Prince Michael Jackson Earth Wind & Fire Eddie Murphy Richard Pryor The Beatles Jay-Z Robin Thicke Ed Sheeran ...they all "stole" from the people that influenced them... it doesnt mean theyre "talentless" or dont "have an ounce of talent"...smh

If the original artist says the remake helped his career, then what does it matter what you think about it? I just heard the whole album for the first time, and enjoyed it enough to know I will stream it again. I'm not sure if I will inspired to make a playlist from it or even download it, which I do with my absolute favorites. Her style seem to borrow both from her recent and remote songs, which is a nice blend.
Bey, the creation, seems to be a lightening rod in how it triggers reactions. I do get tired of the self-promotion, but my reaction is moderated by how she celebrates black women and black culture and not just herself. For so many years women and black women especially were expected to be humble and submissive, so in many ways she represents the opposite of this. She is a force, like it or not.
