For 65 years straight, the #1 genre in music, selling wise, was rock n' roll worldwide. Last year (2017) in June, it got de-crowned by hip hop. Hip hop is the #1 genre. It's hip hop - rock - country - pop or pop - country. ~ Pras

You're Gonna Get Rocked completely defined Letoya (Jackson). Let's be real: it has #12 hit written all over it.

Prince - "Sexuality"

Compelling choice, especially since it's not a song from the Purple Rain or post PR-era.

If I were to go with a pre-PR song choice, I'd vote for "Dirty Mind" or "Controversy."

If I were to choose his defining album, I think I'd choose Dirty Mind.

yep...it was definitely between Sexuality and Controversy for me... and no doubt Dirty Mind is his defining album... i probably leaned towards Sexuality because thst seemed to be a recurring theme throughout his career, and thats one of my favorite Prince songs ever...but Dirty Mind or Controversy would definitely make sense as well

Is That All There Is? (1969) by Peggy Lee. Sure she has had alot of hits (eg. Fever, Its A Good Day etc) but this song and the album was simply sublime, because it was so different and it revealed a new versatility to Peggy Lee’s singing style nod https://www.youtube.com/w...CRZZC-DH7M worship
