Songs/Albums that define an Artist/Musician

In almost every genre that have one or more songs/albums that 'define' an artist/musician, like for Prince there is Purple Rain(the album and song), Little Red Corvette, Let's Go Crazy, Raspberry Beret and Kiss

There are album periods for people that on some level are like Prince's Purple Rain for that genre or artist

just is what it is...

What artist that you know of has a song or two that 'defines' them.

I'll add two more since this is Music: Non-Prince

1. Acoustic Alchemy: Radio Contact

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Not that easy...

Take Metallica. For metalheads it'll be Master Of Puppets.
For radio-listening public it will be Nothing Else Matters.
For those into 'best of' lists, it will be One.

I would add It's Like That to the list. I am not sure if the track really defined them originally, but the Jason Nevins version certainly got the attention of younger generations.
