Okay some bullet points on the subject of Ween x Prince:

• In about '88-89, Ween went to Paisley Park and promptly got thrown out within probably 5 minutes.

• P wasn't there, so they probably flew under his radar, though, I like to think security told him about a couple rapscallions who busted into Studio A and started messing with his stuff.

• Beyond that though, Ween amassed a lovingly large cult following over the past 3 decades and are renowned and vocal Prince fans, covering Purple Rain, 1999, and Kiss many times over the years, as well as the rare Housequake, and Sexy MF, amongst maybe some others?

• Oh, and then there's LMLYP, a straight up Prince rip-off homage that hybridized Shockadelica and the rap from Alphabet St. Ween has played this song many, many times over the decades and HAD to have gotten P's attention at some point...

• The hopeful fan I am wished for years to run into P one day and ask him about Ween. I always had a feeling he heard LMLYP and was like, "okay ya'll get a pass".
