I don't get the feeling he really wanted to do that. Jermaine was always announcing Jackson reunion albums & tours that never happened because Mike turned them down. I guess he figured he'd make more money that way and wanted to play the big stadiums like the Victory Tour. I'm not sure if Jermaine has ever done a solo tour. Both The Jacksons & Jermaine were let go by their labels after the 2300 Jackson Street and You Said albums. There was a rumor that Jermaine couldn't get a record deal because of Word 2 The Badd, but I don't know why a record label would care about that since rap has many diss records. After 1991, Jermaine didn't release another album until 2012, but he did do some vocals on overseas artists songs. Even Sade was more active than that. Jermaine, Marlon, & Tito produced a few records for other acts in the 1980s. But they didn't really pursue it much. When Jermaine was on Motown he was involved with writing, producing, & playing on his own albums. But on Arista, he seemed more like he was recording songs Clive Davis got for him. Jermaine was mostly just a singer there. But that was usual at Clive's label. Daryl Hall said when Hall & Oates signed with Arista, Clive tried that with them and they butted heads. Phyllis Hyman also had problems with songs Clive gave her to record.

Even on the tours The Jacksons have been doing the past few years, Jermaine hasn't given that much attention to his songs (from the clips I've seen on Youtube) but performs Can't Let Her Get Away from Dangerous. A song that even Mike has not performed in concert.
