Celebrate the Moon Landing's 50th with Music

Neal Armstrong loved the album Music Out Of The Moon by Les Baxter so much he included Lunar Rhapsody on a mixtape he brought on Apollo 11. The track is also played in First Man (2018) and BBC's 8 Days: To the Moon and back (2019).

What are your favourite moon-inspired tracks?

The Whole of The Moon... (at Paisley Park during a Dance Rally for Peace in May 2015)

Technically not a Prince track (Waterboys Cover), and posted as part of the thread's topic, so hopefully ok to post here.

By early 1969, 95% of US households had a television (1), and 35.5% a colour set (2). It is still amazing that most people worldwide were able to view the landing as it happened. But you really should have posted this in this other thread: https://prince.org/msg/10...g_10312974 or even created another one specifically about Apollo 11, not on this one here which is about the lunar theme in music.

This article mentions Prince's Moonbeam Levels (1982) biggrin "Moonbeam Levels" was recorded during the sessions for Prince's 1999 album in 1982, but it sat in his vault until after his death in 2016. It was eventually released on his first posthumous album, 4Ever, a 40-track compilation of Prince's most popular songs. It's the only new track on the 2016 collection, and a worthy addition to his catalog, a scorching ballad from the artist's peak period."

For the 50th anniversary of the Moon landing, here are a bunch of songs inspired by the astronomical body orbiting our planet: https://ultimateclassicro...oon-songs/
