Jungle Bass - Bootsy's Rubber Band

Looking through my record collection, I came accross this wonderful funky 12 inch - forgot how groovy this was cool

I thought it was pretty groovy. As per usual, Casper was adding some funk to some current styles. In this case house. If you like this, have you peeped Malcolm McLaren & the Bootzilla Orchestra's Waltz Darling?

No, that doesn't ring a bell. Will definitely check it out...

I love Jungle Bass, but like "Disciples of Funk" almost even better (the other song on this 12inch)

It was released about the same time as Jungle Bass. Casper was exploring these kinds of grooves.

More glam than funky but a classic late 80's, pre-90's aristocratic pop classic.

Jungle Bass was made with Bill Laswell, who I assume is mostly responsible for the techno sound of it, and there's also a relatively similar Maceo EP with Bill from the exact same era: https://www.discogs.com/m...view/53493
