I have the original CD pressing of this album and it's not half bad. I rank it up there with Janet's first couple of albums. Not much in the way of bonus tracks with the so-called Deluxe Edition, though. I may get it for the remastering.

I really like 'If You Feel The Funk'. Fight me someone! lol

I'm amazed an 'artist' of such miniscule stature and talent can get these reissues. Think of the resources wasted on this. Time, electric, wages, materials. I bet the guys at the pressing plant are fucking crying. She's worse than Thanos.

I STILL really like 'If You Feel The Funk tho'. Yup.

A reissue of a La Toya Jackson album. Heeeeelll Yeeeeaaaahhh!!! I just can't wait to rush out and buy this! Forget any unreleased and never before heard vault releases from Prince. This is what I've really been waiting on. As of matter of fact, why not rename this site latoya.org?

I can't wait! I can't wait! I can't wait!

lol Well, this one makes more sense than Cherry Red's 2-CD reissue of "You're Gonna Get Rocked". That one sold so poorly, you can get a brand new, sealed copy for like five bucks. "My Special Love" has been OOP and extremely scarce on CD for decades so it will probably sell better.

And of course, Madonna HAD to release her album precisely around the same date. She just had to, didn't she? In another news, can you spell jelly?

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I can't stand jellyness. Letoya is alternative music, she ain't a mainstream artist. Her music is far too experimental for the average radio music consumer's ears so, yes, it is possible Madonna does not know about this reissue but she does know about Toy's ouevre. You see, we are still trying to understand Letoya. Her music is so abstract, brainy and experimental that it will takes us a long time for us to come to terms with it. For this reason she will never be a Granny winner or a radio station favourite. Too difficult.

I can't figure out if you're a troll or a genuine fan, I don't mind falling for a troll but I really hope Latoya is your actual favourite artist. It's cool to be into weird stuff no-one has heard.

Man, Latoya was really pretty once.

A certain kind of mellow.

I love Night Time Lover. And I dont feel guilty one bit. Is it on this album?

I remember when I was in high school in early 2000s there was a bar right across the school where we would take refuge to smoke in peace. And there was a huge Latoya poster on the wall (the one where she is wearing the police hat). No Michael. No Jackson 5. No Janet. LaToya was THE star of my high school's tobacco fans. lol

That is very inspiring. Letoya's different, she always has been. She was different from her family and she is different from today's stars. She's unique, experimental and fun...she's Toy. She has gone through so much in her life that, as a fan, you feel motivated. Here, I collected some motivational phrases that I searched last night listening to Toy's Hot Potatoe:

“The Pessimist Sees Difficulty In Every Opportunity. The Optimist Sees Opportunity In Every Difficulty.” – Winston Churchill

“Don’t Let Yesterday Take Up Too Much Of Today.” – Will Rogers

“You Learn More From Failure Than From Success. Don’t Let It Stop You. Failure Builds Character.”

“It’s Not Whether You Get Knocked Down, It’s Whether You Get Up.” – Inspirational Quote By Vince Lombardi

And yet Jermaine Motown material stays in the vault. All of La Toya and Rebbie's albums have been remastered and re-released in recent years while nothing from Randy, Marlon and Jackie have been touched and only Jermaine Arista albums (4) and 2 Motown Records (he released 13) have had that honor.

No that's on her self titled first album, the highlight on this My Special Love album is "Fill You Up" IMO!

Yeah it makes no sense LBC, Jermaine's motown albums are good, they should've been remastered years ago
