Radiohead got their computers hacked, answers by releasing 18 hours of unreleased music called "Minidiscs [Hacked]"

So, last week, it seems Thom Yorke got his computer hacked and material from 1995-1998 stolen. The kidnapper was asking for 150 thousand dollars or he'd release all of it. Radiohead's response was to release legally (for a price of £18) unde the title "Minidiscs [Hacked]" to be donated to Extinction Rebellion. Or, it can be heard for free on this site: https://radiohead.bandcamp.com/

.

It comprises 18 mini-discs of material recorded during the "OK Computer" album sessions. Here's a Google doc with the list of contents: https://docs.google.com/d...yo/preview

.

Official note:

.

"we’ve been hacked
my archived mini discs from 1995-1998(?)
it’s not v interesting
there’s a lot of it

if you want it, you can buy the whole lot here
18 minidisks for £18
the proceeds will go to Extinction Rebellion

as it’s out there
it may as well be out there
until we all get bored
and move on

Thmx"

Probably my 2nd favorite group or artist, but 18 hours?! I probably could only do that if it was actual songs n not just noodling n whatnot, a more "focused" engagement. That being said, the first 2 minutes were actually kinda fire, sounding like Exit Music (for a film) with different lyrics cool. I read that some1 made a mix with just the new stuff/highlights, I'd totally be down for that shit smile.

For all time I am with you, you are with me.

In search of longer version of Paranoid Android , I dediced 2 just let 1 play (MD120) n am actually kinda into it. Like 18 minutes in, this real 90s sounding (poppy almost ballad) demo played touched. Don't ask me the lyrics 2 it cuz confused lol music.

I love their action on the hack. We should do this more often, just release it and the hackers have nothing anymore.

I love it. It's going to take me a week to get through it all though. cool

New releases from two of my favorite artists (Prince, Radiohead) in less than a week!
