Experiences on other fan sites. I was never much of a message board/forum type of person until Prince died. I've stayed here since then but was not motivated to visit other fan sites. I finally relented and visited Queenzone, thinking it may be invigorating there with all their new fans. Boy, I was wrong. There are very few new posts, and some vicious attacks there that are way beyond anything than just a difference of opinion. I know this happens here occasionally, but at least I think most people try to be reasonably civil and the ones aren't are fairly predictable and relatively benign. Perhaps the mods exterminated the others. In any case, it got me curious about what other music sites Prince fans go to and how it compares to the Prince.org.

The folks at Soulful Detroit seem kinda nice. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton | |

Many of the folks at Lipstick Alley are not nice. But I never joined it though. Mostly went there to look for pictures.
