Following the June 14 release of her “Madame X” album, Madonna, Live Nation and Maverick have announced a series of “rare and intimate performances” to take place exclusively in theaters.

The “Madame X” tour will kick off September 12th at the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House in New York and will feature multiple nights of shows in each city including performances at the Chicago Theatre, The Wiltern in Los Angeles, the Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, the Boch Center Wang Theatre in Boston, The Met in Philadelphia and at the Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theatre in 2019.

The tour will resume in early 2020 with performances at the Coliseum in Lisbon, the Palladium in London and at the Grand Rex in Paris

Arthur Fogel, President – Global Touring and Chairman – Global Music, Live Nation said: “The chance for fans to see Madonna at these venues is incredibly special. We are proud and excited to be able to deliver this ultimate opportunity for her fans.”

Ticket requests for all shows will be accepted now through Friday, May 10th (11:59pm EDT) at madonna.livenation.com. Fans will be able to select city and show preference plus their preferred price points prior to completing their request. By Friday, May 17th, fans whose requests have been confirmed will be notified of fulfillment and informed of their ticket allocation(s) and corresponding show information. Every ticket purchased includes a CD of “Madame X.”

Citi is the official presale credit card of the “Madame X” tour. As such, Citi cardmembers will have special access to tickets by submitting their requests now through Friday, May 10th (11:59pm EDT) at madonna.livenation.com.

Tickets will be scaled between $60.00 – $760.00 (plus applicable service fees). Additionally, fans will have the opportunity to enter to purchase tickets at $10.00 at Madonna.com. There will be 10 tickets available per show and fans will be notified on show date if they have been selected for this unique opportunity.

Madonna’s “Madame X” tour sold out its Brooklyn and LA shows in just an hour on Monday morning, we hear — and the star will add more dates at BAM and The Wiltern, sources said.

The “Like A Prayer” icon announced Monday that her intimate “Madame X” tour will kick off with seven dates at the venerable BAM Howard Gilman Opera House, with subsequent stops at LA’s storied The Wiltern as well as theaters in Chicago, Miami, Las Vegas, Boston and Philadelphia.

Super producer and DJ Diplo helped announce the tour in a tongue-in-cheek video with Madonna — in which he shows up in a cowboy outfit to share margaritas with the singer.

“I’m going on a special tour,” Madonna explains. “Are you doing stadiums?” Diplo asks. “Arenas? Coliseums?” The Material Girl says instead, “I’m going on a theater tour … I want to have an intimate experience with my fans.” She figures, “After I do this for a while people will start hiring me to do parties, bar mitzvahs, weddings.”

The tour sold out five dates at BAM and five at The Wiltern. It will move to Lisbon, London and Paris next year.

I like the idea of a different sort of show in a small venue ... though admittedly I'll miss dancing with Madonna and my fellow fans on the arena floor, the best part of any M tour.

Looks like the cost of tickets has already upset a large number of fans though. She's never been the cheapest but these prices are ultra exclusive. Its M's call obviously, but it does rather fly in the face of her political stance.

^^yeah,I agree....the ticket prices are outrageous I get that this a "special",intimate tour but $760 for a concert ticket is beyond absurd.

I agree with both of you in principle. However, I think some acts realize that so many tickets gets sold on the secondary market for astronomical prices. this is what they will be selling on the secondary market, so they might as well be asking for higher prices rather than scalpers buying them and selling than for more. I think it would be more upsetting if she had all the tickets going for the upper range. I recently was looking for Queen tickets On Stubhub, and even in the nosebleed sections of huge arenas tickets were often going for more than $300. And this was with Adam Lambert!!!

Not all the tickets are $760, they are in all price ranges. They are no bad seats unlike an arena or stadium because these venues hold 2000 people. The lower price ranges are no higher than her previous tours and you will be much closer. What political stance do the prices contradict? She never said she was a socialist. She mostly talks about ending discrimination against racial minorities, LGBT people and women. What do the prices of her tickets have to do with that? The prices aren’t set solely by her. Live Nation and promoters need to make $ from this tour also. If they set the close seats lower they wouldn’t make money because these are small venues. Touring artists aren’t charities.

Agreed. But still, the major chunk of the money goes to the artist/price is set by what the artist eventually gets and it's the artist's name on the ticket, so don't get in here blaming the promoter. The artist has the final say.

I don't know. I think the lottery system is kinda cool. Stressfree. You state what you want to pay and then you'll see what you get/if you get something. Since the places are small, most seats should be good. In the lower/affordable price ranges it doesn't really matter anyway, they are all close together. But then again, I don't really care too much if I don't get a ticket. If I can get a 100 $ ticket somewhere close to where I live, then yay, I'm going, if not, it's okay too. Would it be Janet I probably wouldn't be so relaxed. Here is is hoping they add more cities, one I can drive to and don't have to fly, as I'm not willing to do that.

When you look at what Prince charged over the years to make himself accessible to everyone ... £31.21 for any seat at the O2 in 2007, £10 for his Hit 'n' Run shows ... shows it can be done and you don't have to charge a fortune.

I would have opted for Philly. BAM the venue is small but not 2000 for a seat

I've heard Niki will "never happen" due to some romantic shenanigans at some point. Same with Stuart Price. Sad really as those two were such strong contributors.
