Sure wish I did. What was the context in which the song was played?

Interesting question gandorb, the title song is played at a pivotal point when she retakes the stage. A Case of You is over the credits at the end - choked me up - everybody here knows why. [Edited 5/6/19 15:05pm] "if you can't clap on the one, then don't clap at all"

That’s an odd coincidence. Thought I was still dreaming a bit while wiping the sleep out of my eyes. I also saw this on the weekend, but I had no idea it was on PBS. The suggestion just came up via YouTube’s recommendation algorithm. This was my first viewing. Prior to Saturday I had just seen clips of it here and there over the years. This came off to me as one of the ultimate examples of fight or flight. Facing 600,000 people in broad daylight—most of whom seemed rather bored or even defiantly belligerent—literally trapped in the middle of an argument as old as humankind. Imagine a small folk singer not yet fully joined on stage by her legend delicately fronting this monstrosity while entombed in stacks and stacks of the Who’s equipment still reverberating an obvious expectancy from the night before. What happens next is nothing short of the absolute face of the courage of one tiny soul politely asking for some help. I have hundreds of favorite musical artists, but Joni Mitchell is in an elite group that includes only Prince, Bob Dylan, and her. All three self trained. No fancy degrees. Not knowing the rules well enough to know that they were breaking them. To me they just echo what it’s like to be alive more acutely than perhaps just about anyone.

The Blu-ray disc has been in my Amazon cart ever since it was released last year. Watching the rebroadcast on PBS yesterday afternoon confirmed that it's a must buy.

Appreciate the kindness, poppys, and thanks for sharing this. I really didn’t know much about this movie, so I wrongly assumed that this was a fairly private thing. It’s like, who got into my head? I had no idea that it was broadcast 2 or 3 times on the same weekend to perhaps hundreds of thousands (more?) on PBS. I also had no idea there had been a Blu-ray release last year.

Well, I saw it totally by happy accident as well. I don't even have cable so good on PBS. It came on after The Great British Baking Show here. Used to buy every album though, I knew all the words. She is an all time favorite. [Edited 5/6/19 21:23pm] "if you can't clap on the one, then don't clap at all"
