Released in 1987. Only album the group recorded. The CD is rather scarce now. I saw it on discogs a few months ago for $200 but you can find it cheaper elsewhere. Glad I still have my CD.

I keep hoping that this CD will be reissued/remastered.One of my favorite late-80s R&B albums. The song “I Want Your Body” is outrageous biggrin Bernadette Cooper did a superb job with the production.

Well it's to be expected, Madge is out there stealing from other artists AGAIN!!. The woman hasn't a single original idea.

I'm not even a Madonna fan but you're severely reaching here. I doubt it serious if she just

sat around one day thinking I'm gonna name my album after an obscure 80's group. lol

Martha Graham christened a 19 year old Madonna 'Madame X' when she turned up to her dance class out of uniform. This is probably 1979. Case closed.

Not specifically in relation to this group but one of many examples. Xtina already used this name too during a campaign. Whatever it will bomb regardless it usually does with Madonna, she's forgotten how to make a decent album.

Also, 1966 movie starring Lana Turner. There are probably earlier examples but I would guess that is the real kernal.

That is a great album.

I often think if it were a Prince protégé album it would be my favourite.

Yeah I love this record. Especially the track I Wonder what it’s like to give it to you. I pretty much gobbled up anything Bernadette Cooper was involved with.

I have the Alisa Randolph solo album and it's alright, but nowhere near as funky as Madame X. Now I know why.

interesting story. It's such a shame that the record company had to step in and ruin a very unique, innovative concept confused

Really kool. I had forgot keyboard genius Amp Fiddler was on the project. Another sad case of the record company snuffing out something truly artistic to try and turn into flavor of the month. Bernadette had true artistry.
