Yeah it makes no sense LBC, Jermaine's motown albums are good, they should've been remastered years ago I had no idea Jermaine has 13 solo titles on the Motown label. Why does Universal continuously reissue the same two titles over and over again to the Japan market? I mean, anyone who is interested in the “Lets Get Serious” title should have it by now. I think just 9 on Motown (plus 3 unreleased), 13 total. PRINCE: Always and Forever

Interestingly enough, Toy-Toy's live concert performances are popping up in my YT feed (along with all other manner of 1980s concerts) this is so campishly bad it's fantastically good, especially when she gets to the gospel choir singing her single, "Be My Lover" at the 23:30 min mark

That is one hell of a concert. I have it on VHS and DVD. Letoya was arguably at the peak of her powers and her show was very complete. It had a gospel choir, an invited act, a great band, a great wardrobe and great backups. I remember sending an electronic mail to the Grannys back when people still didn't use electronic mails much and told them in the message body to look out for Toy, cause she was killin' it, you know? And the Grannys actually replied to me and told me they were going to look out for her. I then sent them another electronic mail telling them to consider giving her a Granny and they answered positively only to ignore her

Jermaine has another album from a few years ago that was jazz standards with an opera singer. It was his first album since 1991. He probably has another 1 or 2 albums worth of songs from soundtracks, B-sides and other artists records. He has 4 songs released with Whitney Houston alone, plus another unreleased song, which was the song Dennis Edwards later released Don't Look Any Further. La Toya's first three albums are actually genuinely OK... there, I said it. It's worth remembering that she made good use of the Jacksons' contacts list for her first few albums - Michael, Stevie, Patrice Rushen etc. I think she might've also co-written some stuff with Randy on My Special Love, if I'm not confusing that with something else.
But as others have said, Jermaine's (very creditable) Motown material mostly not being reissued is still baffling. I don't understand why Universal are still sitting on it. They should've done something with it in the early 2010s when there was a slight revival of 'Jacksonmania' after Michael passed, and when the group started touring again.

It's a 1987 movie called Student Confidential. TCM. According to a thread at MJJCommunity it was filmed a few years before it was released (circa 1982). It's probably the only time Marlon has been seen without a mustache past the mid 1970s You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. I sold my Japan CD a few weeks ago. Got my new CD earlier this week. La Toya has always been a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

Pre-ordered via Amazon, which says June 28 is the release date. I have had an MP3 of "Camp Kuchi Kaiai" for well over ten years without EVER seeing a copy (CD or vinyl) of this album in the meantime.

I wonder how does Latoya is make a living now. What is she doing? I know Janet is not supporting her or MJ estate.
