The world's most entertaining interview. Joe rogan interviews David Lee Roth.

I call him human crack. Most of the conversation is non musical:

Just one fun guy. When Dave is on everyone is off.

All you others say Hell Yea!! woot!

^^ he is all those...and (i think) a literal genius. maybe a bit of an outsized ego, but he seems kind and genuine (typical of most pot-heads). i love his 'cross-training' life philosophy. he'd've ended up great without van halen.

i read his auto-bio years ago. very inspiring. sounds like he's got enough to fill a second volume since then...

A fascinating larger-than-life character... Diamond Dave is still hyperactive! lol

You mean with all the added wrinkles and lack of hair?? lol Seriously, he does look good, but he has changed like the rest of us have over 30-40 years. I've seen VH many times, but I was a little disappointed when I saw them in 2015 as Dave's voice was not good. It might've just been that night, but he could barely hold a note. Eddie was genius on the guitar as always. It was worth the price of the tickets just to see and hear Eddie play.

I saw him tour with VH around 2012 and his voice was okay then. No splits, of course; got to see Kool and the Gang open.

Grew up with Diamond Dave and love Van Halen.

Had the unfortunate experience of seeing them live for the 1984 tour in my youth and walked away thinking, Dave sucks as a live singer. He forgot lyrics, out of breath, overall it was kind of a let down.

Watched a couple of shows from that last tour and couldn't believe the part in the set where he puts his dog on a big screen while talking about it stumming an acoustic guitar for 20 minutes.

He's a great front man and clearly intelligent based on this interview. I watched this twice over the last few weeks and his "cross training" attitude is inspiring.

Aging rock stars are bizarre though, like the Rogan interview with Steven Tyler, so any things have happened over their lives it seems like their hard drive is almost full. lol

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

tump

He says he pays 52% tax. He says he would want to pay more if it meant nurses, emergency responders, etc. got a pay rise. He might want to take a look at:
http://missingmoney.solari.com/

And maybe even this video (made when the unpayable debt was lower a few years ago):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFeduoDWKj4

Is he angry yet?

Joe's comments about living in the 'safest' era and people just looking for something to complain about are just what you'd expect from an out-of-touch host.
