This is so sad to hear. This young man had been doing a lot of great work in his community for some years now. He was even putting together a documentary on Dr. Sebi.

I don't know the young man as an artist, but my younger adult kids do, and told me about it, and needless to say, they are affected and upset.......so sorry to hear this, and that this man lost his life.

So sad. He wasn't on my radar, probably 'cause I'm old enough to remember Nipsey Russell who was hilarious. Love the twist he put on his name.

I know poppys, I didn't know this young man as an entertainer, but I remember laughing at his name when I heard my adult children talking about him, because of the comedian Nipsey Russell, someone that I knew of.

So, Nipsey's suspected killer has been named. He's 29 year old Eric Holder. And he's from the same neighborhood as Nipsey. AND either if it's in jail or on the streets, he's most definitely a dead man walking.

Looks like violence broke out during the vigil last night. The news is reporting that Nipsey and the shooter got into a fight, (they didn't say if it was verbal or physical) right before this happened.

The LAPD says, "Eric Holder is wanted for the homicide in the shooting of Nipsey Hussle. He was last seen in a 2016 white 4 door Chevy Cruze, CA license plate 7RJD7842. Our law enforcement sources tell TMZ, at the time of this post they have not located Holder who goes by the street name "Shitty."

Nipsey was murdered in view of a surveillance camera, and footage shows the shooter -- the man in the dark shirt -- opening fire 3 different times on Nipsey before kicking his body and fleeing toward a back alley.

Our sources tell us sometime before the shooting, "Shitty" had a tense exchange with Nipsey. We're told Nipsey asked him if he had snitched to cops in the past, because that was the word around town. We're told "Shitty" felt disrespected, left to grab a gun ... then allegedly returned to get revenge.

Although I never met Nipsey. He was gang affiliated with a use to be close friend of mine that knew him.

He was great in flm version of The Wiz, KCOOL. It must be morally crushing to be pious and roll with gangs/gang-affiliated.

wouldn't surprise me really, that's why i didn't go to my go to response for a needless shooting of a black on black man. Although I've known way too many guys get shot or imprisoned trying to act like their favorite rapper, I don't know enough about this guy to say that. After almost getting into a fight with some black kid a couple months ago me and my best friend got into a discussion about hip hop, which he is a longtime follower. My statement to him is the same, more or less, as it was 25 years ago. "how many guys we known get themselves shot trying to act like some rapper". It's almost predictable now, you see someone get shot and look up their pictures and here they are on social media snarling, giving the finger to the camera and just plain being antisocial. I've never liked hip hop. And even though I love rock, I've never liked a lot of the sloppy, self destructive shit it encourages either.

This just sickens and pisses me off, that his life was taken by some idiot. It's just senseless.

It affected me also! Since I use to know someone in his circle. He was HIGHLY respected & looked after his own. They should name a street after him in that area in his honor. It would be the ultimate tribute to him. I pray for his beautiful drop dead gorgeous wife & family
