Tevin Campbell’s Comeback Is Right Around The Corner Thanks to Ava DuVernay Courtesy Of “Queen Sugar” [VIDEO] She Kept Her Word” Tevin Campbell To Appear On “Queen Sugar” After Ava DuVernay (The woman that is at the helm of Prince's(r.i.p.) 6 part Documentary) Pulled Some Strings.
Tevin Campbell Is Making A Hollywood ComebackIt really pays to have Black Twitter behind you — in this case it LITERALLY pays. Tevin Campbell is collecting a check from “Queen Sugar” this season after thousands of people stepped up to support him on social media after some dumb dumbs tried to slander him. Last year, social media shaded Tevin questioning his relevancy and Ava DuVernay stepped in clapping back with a response that she was plotting to cast the Grammy-nominated singer on season 4 of the series. A new video emerged showing that Ava made good on her promise to write him into the show.

Tevin's(whom I met right after his debut album) divine intervention has FINALLY come around for him. I can't wait to see him on one of my favorite shows on the GREAT Oprah's OWN network "Queen Sugar".......

is he coming back with some new music though??

Glad to hear he's acting. We all know the state of music today. He's considered old-school. His music won't sell so he is smart to try other avenues. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

Good for him, this post should be in General Discussion or Associated Acts since its non-Non-Music. if it was just a dream, call me a dreamer 2

I hope he doesn't "comeback", becuase the people who want that to happen will end up hating the new music for whatever reason. Katie Kinisky: "So What Are The Latest Dances, Nell?"

That could be any industry! Don't just single out "Show Business"..
The point is the super talented Tevin is finally back. BE PROUD OF HIM! I happen to love Tevin Campbell and wish him nothing but the best, but I am well aware of all that he has been through while in the business, as well as countless others, so what I said stands whether you like it or not!

Tevin has been recording new music for years. In fact he has a whole album worth of material ready to go. Tevin Campbell played the role of Powerline (a Prince rip off) in A Goofy Movie in 1995. As far as I'm concerned, that's the best thing he's ever done. Great movie.

I've been following Tevin's career since he was discovered by Quincy Jones. I feel this is the best he's EVER done playing "Seaweed" on Broadway in "Hairspray". He slayed it night after night. U far pay your dues in the industry when U do Broadway. That's an actors dream to develop your craft.

But what did you think of his performance as Powerline in A Goofy Movie?

Tevin slays everything he does. He's a triple threat! Especially after Prince(r.i.p.) christened him. I think he looks the same. He's 42 now. "That mountain top situation is not really what it's all cracked up 2 B when was doing the Purple Rain tour had a lot of people who knew 'll never c again @ the concerts.just screamin n places they thought they was suppose 2 scream."

Tevin is a man. I don't know what U are trying to imply. But the comment was unnecessary. U joined my thread. Calling Tevin a "sis" has NOTHING to do with his talent. U were implying & speculating about him. Tevin owes his "Pop Life" to Quincy. [Edited 3/24/19 13:26pm] "That mountain top situation is not really what it's all cracked up 2 B when was doing the Purple Rain tour had a lot of people who knew 'll never c again @ the concerts.just screamin n places they thought they was suppose 2 scream."

Prince did curse people. Yea, true. All you others say Hell Yea!!

It wasn't Prince who cursed Tevin or anyone, Tevin troubles run deeper than Prince, I'm sure.

NO ONE would know who Tevin was if it wasn't for Quincy(whom I attended his tribute & a ULTRA private screening late last year) who signed Tevin to his label & "mentored" him. So his forth coming "Pop Life". Quincy did all he could do to jumpstart Tevin's career. It's up to the artist on how they chose to "take it". Starring on Broadway was the right step he took to work on his craft. Now it's starting to pay off. No one owes their life to anyone, because their life is not their own to give or take away. Like the saying goes, the Lord gives and the Lord takes away, and that is what I believe. Sure, Tevin has Quincy to thank for his part in his career, but so do many others that Quincy produced, but in all honesty, Quincy was only doing his job, what his talents made him to do, just like Tevin, but that doesn't mean that Tevin owes Quincy anything, other than gratitude for helping him along in his career.
