Musician Peter Tork of the Monkees has died at 77. I remember when I was five in 1968 looking at the cover to the first Monkees record and asking my older sister if it was the Beatles. She very gently told me no and played a few songs from the White Album on our turntable, then played the Monkees record. The rest is history. | |

they had some ok songs I think Tork was one of the guys who used to give interviews and telling stories of hendrix opening up for them, he seemed realistic about the group and a nice guy. | |
