The best was the release of the Madonna cd.

All the gay boys would run down the escalator (Virgin Megastore Amsterdam was located in a basement)

The blissful look on their FAM faces... so cute.

Actually, it's true. I prefer jacking off in the bathroom. Less cleanup. wink No apology necessary.

After her last album, I'll pass. Only songs I liked were "Music" and "Don't Tell Me" From what David said, there is supposed to be another funk track along the lines of "Music" on this album. I'll pick up the single if it's cool.

That would be "Nobody Knows Me".It's actually a better song than "Music".

Not a house beat though is it?

I don't know how you would describe this song.I guess you could say it's electro-funk,very techno-influenced.Like the song "Music",it is a stripped down, sparse song.Reminds me of those early 80 electro-funk jams like Midnight Star's "Freak-A-Zoid".

I just finished. And I'm shaken up. The overall effect of the music is very harsh. Maybe it's because I stayed up all night to get it. My ideas are still forming, but I'm definitely impressed. This is a very serious record. As much so as Like A Prayer or Ray Of Light. It's going to take awhile to sink in, but I plan on doing my homework. wink I'm glad I waited for the real cd. It's much more effective this way.

From what I hear, the packaging is more lavish. It comes in some kind of box,and there is a fold-out poster.I'm gonna go pick it up in a few hours.I'll let you know how it looks.

It's a trip when you hear it for the first time, huh? You don't know what to think. Many of the songs will sound better with repeated listenings.

No, I probably won't be buying her record. I'll give my money to actual musicians instead.

i will buy it for 9.99 before the sale is over. Heck, for that price I would've bought music...the 3-5 songs i liked from that disc would have been worth it.

And yes, i'm still in shock that i like this cd as much as i do! lol

They sounded great even the first time. Based on the descriptions and titles, the ones that I thought would be instant favorites weren't. I'm surprised which ones are hitting me the hardest.

No. Still formulating my ideas. And I haven't read the lyrics yet. I want to wait a couple days before I post a lenghty response. All I'll say for now is that I love it and it came at the perfect time.
