BLACKstreet: Finally (1999) 20th Anniversary Thread This year marks the 20th anniversary of the release of BLACKstreet's 3rd album, "Finally". Sure it was not as successful as their self-titled debut and Another Level, but it still had some gems on there. It came out during the time when BET did a special on Teddy Riley, "The Man Behind The Music" and the group went through another lineup change, Terrell Phillips (who joined the group for this album only) replaced Mark Middleton after the explosive success of Another Level

Least fave album from them & the "Guy" album that was released a year later as well. But I like 'em due to the nostalgia factor.

I wasn't impressed with this album either. I felt their debut album was their best despite all the annoying rap verses in some of the songs. good as the other two. The only problem was you weren't hearing this album on the radio because right after the album's release Teddy was beefing with the Hall brothers again so there was little to no promotion for it. Don't laugh at my funk

Also changing the line-up didn't help I preferred the OG with Teddy Riley Chauncey Hannibal, Levi Little, and Joseph Stonestreet. I know Dave Hollister replaced Stonestreet before the first self-titled album was released. Keep Calm & Listen To Prince

Guy's first album was better and more rhythmically and melodically interesting than all the Blackstreet albums combined, even with that numbskull Aaron Hall singing in Guy.That's saying a lot coming from me. Teddy is best doing fake MJ tracks, then claiming they are breal on Oprah despite what MJ's own family and.countless fans said. Then years later saying he was set-up. Despite being able to hear the vocals in isolation before mixing. Ah the comedy. http://www.damienshields....ael-album/
No Diggity deserved to hit. That Shake Your Rump song with Wreckx-N-Effect deserved to hit.

I would have trouble listening to it at work. The bonus track was that song they did with Mya from The Rugrats soundtrack I believe. I hated that damn Don't Leave Me from Another Level. Anytime it comes on the radio I quickly change the station or play my own music. Can't take Chauncey's squealing on that one. I dig Never Gonna Let You Go. Don't laugh at my funk
