Honestly cannot get on board with this song, I find it cringy as hell, and I think she's an incredible talent.

That's how I felt about a lot of this album to begin with. I'm enjoying it now, especially the live versions I've seen, despite still feeling that the lyrics are a bit cringey in parts. I like the groove of this one, though, which has a nice flow to it - even though it seems to me to reference Madonna's 'Get Into The Groove' almost as consciously as 'Americans' references 'Let's Go Crazy'.

Did you get butthurt when he played MTV US or MTV Europe or Arsenio a few times, to large commercial audiences? Were your standards abused when he made a highly commercial album like Musicology, or a song like "Cream" which was all over the place? Did you get to puff up your pretend-fringed chest when he partnered with a retail corporation like Target and made commercials for Lotusflow3r? No? Thought not.
