Yeah a little disappointing. Ironically I was at work thinking about Chaka this morning

and One For All Time crossed my mind. Funk This was a great listen but Hello Happiness while not bad has to grow on me.

Not thrilled with the super production but will definitely buy it because ANY music from the Queen is better than none!!

Well, I can pretty much guarantee all of the dozens of songs she has in the can that have been recorded over the past several years will remain there. Not happy to say this but I have a feeling this could very well be her last album before she retires from releasing new music. Maybe a single or guest appearance here and there but Im not expecting any more full length albums out of her, whether its new or vault material.And she has alot of excellent unreleased material out there just collecting dust.i have had the pleasure of hearing some of it over the years and i am dumb founded as to why Warner Brothers continues to hold on to the tracks. FTG claims to be making a comeback this year. Im hoping they work with WB in reissuing some of her albums and we get some of the tracks that way.

although it will never happen,I would love to see the Rufus and Chaka Khan catalog upgraded....maybe a cool,multi-disc box set that features some rarities,outtakes,etc.

I love the original version of Hello Happiness! Its groovy, got a nice 80s vibe to it. The remixes aren't that good this time around, unfortunately. Maybe I need to give them the "big speaker" treatment but they aren't as catchy as Switch's remix of Like Sugar. I found a site that streams them on Google fyi.

Can't wait for the album!

I was thinking the same. I need some ballads on this album. But, with only 7 tracks and, although I don't know anything about the producers, it sounds like they specialize in dance music? So, I'm thinking probably no ballads.

yeah,I don't think there are no ballads here.Chaka recently said "the kids wanna dance,so I'm giving them a dance album" or something to that effect.
