Here's a great concert from The Cars in 1984

The concert's from '84 actually which makes it even better I've been diving in and out of watching this video over the past year and still have yet to watch the whole show but I like what I saw. These dudes were an integral part of 1984's awesomeness and don't seem to get the credit for it.

Love that first Cars album. I've been playing a boot Live at El Mocambo from 1978 in Toronto - its pretty great.

Really a great underrated band, always surprised by the amount of classic singles they have, should be held in a higher regard imo. Also worth checking out is Ric Ocasek's solo album "This Side of Paradise" , which has a very Cars-like sound, and contains the classic single "Emotion in Motion" which would've been a big hit for the band. We're here, might as well get into it.

Damn, they sound really good for this show. Don't think that i've ever heard the last album of the 80s...door-something or other. But I was there for the run up to Heartbeat City and think that all of those albums are good to great. If there is an unheralded album in that bunch, I think it's Hearbeat City. Cars fans who "were there from the beginning" don't seem to appreciate it as much as the earlier stuff, but I think it's an influential classic. Good stuff.
