Normally, there's an indie store that gets new releases in on Saturday or Monday but their shipment is arriving late. So I'm going to the midnight sale at Record Time. I always like getting the cd the night before. There's just something about listening to a new album while it's dark out. Is anyone else gonna do this? If not, will you pick it up tomorrow? I read that Best Buy will be carrying it for $9.99. It's almost here! And I held out on downloading it.

And I would like to buy the Felix Da Housecat remix of the title track if I could, but I'm not sure what format it is available in.

If I see it for 9.99 I'll get it... She is getting a little scary though.

I'm counting the hours now...!

Scary is good when it comes to Madonna. I don't like the univerisally loved Madonna but do love the feared Madonna that record stupid record companies and even worse Republican owned radio networks want to push down.

I have good news if you want the CD for $9.99. Both Best Buy and Target have it for that price! I plan to get mine at another store but I'm going to use the ad becuase the store I'm going to match's ad prices. If you don't like Best Buy (and I've had bad experiences there) see if you have a friend that gets the Sunday paper, ask for their ad and get it at another store that will match prices and that you like to shop at. Yeah! Everyone's happy!

And I'm not going to get it at midnight although I think Meijers does get their new CDs then. I'm just a little bit too old for that and I have to share my car now. I still can't wait and will probably go very early in the morning!

You can buy Madonna's new CD for only $9.99 at Best Buy and Target! Alot of people complain about the high cost of CDs these days,but all you gotta do is go these stores and you will save a few bucks.

I plan to buy the CD at Tower Records,where it will be $11.99.Tower is closer to where I work,so I plan to just pick it up in the morning.I will be buying two copies...the original (explicit lyrics) CD and the Special Limited Edition.

BPI has already certified the album gold! This is,no doubt,because of impressive pre-sales and early orders.It's a foregone conclusion that the CD will debut at Number One next week.


Just a reminder...the maxi-single for "American Life" will be released next Tuesday April 29.It features kickass remixes from Missy Elliot and others.

I found another review of the album,from Slant Magazine (whatever that is).They actually review ALL of her albums before getting to the new one.It's a cool article...

I'll be getting it! Can't wait! At the moment, I'm trying to track down a store anywhere within an hour of where I live (BFE, for sure) that'll be open at midnight. No such luck...

After her last album, I'll pass. Only songs I liked were "Music" and "Don't Tell Me" From what David said, there is supposed to be another funk track along the lines of "Music" on this album. I'll pick up the single if it's cool. Before buying her last album I would normally just pick up her singles that I liked, which has always been the best bet with Madonna. Other than her first album (which was mostly a collection of 12" records that were released starting a year earlier) I have yet to find a Madonna album satisfying all the way through.

The last Madonna album I went out and bought was Ray Of Light back in 1998. I burned Music and I'll probably only keep American Life on my iPod, I won't bother to burn it. If she makes some hot remixes or releases some material better than the stuff I've been hearing I'll see what I can do.

Well, I went for the midnight sale.

And...they were closed.

Apparently they couldn't stay open for the biggest pop star in the world. Let alone a hometown hero.

What a glorious end to an already stupid fucked-up day.
