John Legend released a new Christmas album this year I have slept on it so far but I just read that it is produced by Raphael Saadiq so I might check it out now. | |

For some reason I like this guy but I dont like his music. I listened to the samples of his new holiday album and its just like all the rest of his music. Dull as dishwater. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

I saw him open for Sade and he seemed to be phoning in his performance even with giddy giggling girls in the audience. He seemed especially bored when a middle-aged woman was selected for him to seranade and hand a rose to onstage... John(who I met on one of The Smith's movie sets was very easy to talk to) has come a LONG way from the days he just sat at the piano & not moved. He has come full circle as a new EGOT winner & is quite the mogul now with his hands in practically everything. He's coming to my area soon for a Xmas concert. But I won't be attending. "That mountain top situation is not really what it's all cracked up 2 B when  was doing the Purple Rain tour had a lot of people who knew 'll never c again @ the concerts.just screamin n places they thought they was suppose 2 scream." |

I agree that John Legend can be bland though I think his first album and his album with The Roots are exceptions. However, I can't imagine that his take on Christmas songs will be anything but bland. |

I keep hearing different songs from this new album on the radio, but I put the CD back AGAIN because I just can't listen to a whole album of it. Raphael Saadiq production be damned. | |
